Hangar6: DIY rapid prototyping

Hangar6, a new program brought to you by FFVC, is the Research Triangle region’s premier prototyping and design assistance space for technology-based companies. Hangar6 enables designing, building and modeling product prototypes using tools, such as 3D scanners, CO2 lasers, metal fiber lasers, CNC mill, 3D printers and more.

Design. Prototype. Conquer.

Located in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, Hangar6 offers entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses a local prototyping space to build prototypes on their own schedule. Use our scheduling tool to find the equipment, evolve your designs in real-time, and tap into the expertise of our skilled team for machine training and design help.

We know a thing, or 300 about product development

Hangar6 was created by the First Flight Venture Center (FFVC), North Carolina’s foremost science and technology business incubator. With a focus on High Science-High Impact, in the past 26 years, FFVC has helped launch more than 300 companies with a combined value in excess of $7B.

By adding Hangar6, FFVC is providing access to equipment, workspace and a community of like-minded people and experienced technologists—all the resources you need to get your ideas off the napkin and into the marketplace.
